Access review playbook
Our access review playbook is the working method behind every assessment—not a product you log into, but the sequence we follow when you hire us to examine API security.
Inventory and actors
We list every client type (mobile, partner B2B, internal microservice) and the credentials each carries. Service accounts without rotation dates are flagged first because they bypass user consent flows entirely.
Scope matrix drill-down
For each route we document required scopes or roles, comparing staging and production exports. Drift between environments is a common source of over-privileged tokens in the wild.
Token lifecycle checks
Refresh storage, revocation hooks, and clock skew tolerance are tested against your identity provider’s documented limits—not assumed defaults from a framework tutorial.
Evidence you keep
Deliverables include annotated diagrams, a scope spreadsheet, and a remediation backlog you can feed into your sprint planner. Raw secrets never appear in reports; we use redacted samples only.
